The app is connected to the company's other internal systems, drawing input data from them for a more accurate calculation. It includes a simulation mode (sandbox) where the client can simulate how a price would change under different criteria settings before rolling the change out to production. The pharmaceutical market is heavily regulated, so a wide range of edge cases had to be carefully handled in the calculation.
