Efficient processeswith custom software
No templates, no code generated overnight. I build systems from the ground up, with a focus on security, code quality and scalability.
For selected projects I build a working prototype free of charge, so you can validate the benefit before investing.
What I build for companies
Software that supports the business: from internal systems and integrations to data and AI solutions. I build websites and e-shops too, when that is what the company actually needs.
Internal business systems
- Company processes digitised
- Web, desktop and mobile
- Integration with ERP and legacy systems
Websites and customer portals
- Presentation website with a price up front
- Client zones and self-service
- Roles and permissions under control
Mobile applications
- iOS and Android from one codebase
- Offline mode and notifications
- Secure access to company data
E-shops and B2B portals
- Individual and wholesale pricing
- Order processing automated
- Connected to ERP and accounting
AI and RAG solutions
- Answers grounded in your documents
- Your data stays under your control
- Measurable time savings
Consulting and market research
- Product-solution and product-market fit
- Interviews with target customers
- Independent view on architecture
What I work on most
Where I most often save companies time and money
Need something else?
I also handle cloud and DevOps, UX/UI design and brand building. For graphics and motion graphics I have trusted partners, so we cover the whole project.
Pricing and process
For websites and e-shops you know the price up front. For custom systems the quote follows an analysis of the brief. No hidden items.

Who I am
My name is Petr Škoda and I build software that supports the business. Internal systems, customer portals, mobile and desktop applications and AI solutions.
On every project I address security, code quality and scalability. A business system has to survive years of operation, not just the first demo.
Who I have worked for
From sole traders and small companies to large multinationals. I grew up in the family business Škoda Milan s.r.o., so running a company is somewhat in my blood and I understand what usually separates a software supplier from the business itself. A system has to fit the people who will use it every day.
What I studied
I studied Information Technology at the Secondary Technical School in Písek, then completed a bachelor of Applied Informatics at the Prague University of Economics and Business. I am now continuing with a master in Business Informatics. The combination of technical and economic training means I can pinpoint where an IT solution genuinely helps and where it is unnecessary.
How I work
I insist on clients understanding what is being built and why. I explain the impact of each decision, show work in progress and will tell you when development is not worth it and adjusting the process is enough. Source code and documentation are yours on completion.
Where I work
I am based in Prague and in Tálín near Písek in South Bohemia. We can meet in person in either region; otherwise I work remotely with clients across the Czech Republic and abroad.

Frequently asked questions
What business clients ask most often
How do you ensure security and code quality?
Security is addressed from the design stage: role-based access control, encryption of sensitive data, protection against common OWASP vulnerabilities and an audit trail. Code goes through review and automated tests, and deployment runs through a CI/CD pipeline.
Who owns the source code?
You do. Source code, documentation and infrastructure access are handed over to you on completion. I do not work with vendor lock-in, your internal team or another supplier can take the project over at any time.
Will the solution grow with the company?
That is accounted for from the start. I design the architecture to handle more users, data and integrations without a rewrite. On larger projects I plan scaling, caching and monitoring up front.
Can you integrate with our existing systems?
Yes. I regularly integrate ERP, accounting and warehouse systems, Active Directory and SSO, payment gateways and third-party APIs. Where no API exists, I design a secure way to exchange data.
How do you handle NDAs, GDPR and work with our IT team?
Signing an NDA is standard practice, I respect your internal security policies and handle personal data in line with GDPR. I align deployment, access and operating rules with your IT department.
Can you help validate an idea before development?
Yes. I run market research, interviews with potential customers and validate product-solution and product-market fit. Sometimes the best recommendation is to build nothing and change the process instead and I will say so.
Do you build AI solutions as well?
I focus on RAG. AI that answers based on your own documents and data rather than in general. The design always covers where the data stays and who has access to it.
How long does development take?
A smaller internal tool usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, a larger business system 3 to 6 months. I confirm the exact timeline after the analysis. Development runs in iterations, so you see the first usable version in operation well before the whole solution is finished.
