This website is run by Petr Škoda. Here is what happens to the data you send me or that the site records by itself. I keep it short and avoid legal phrasing where I can.
Who is the controller
The controller of personal data is Petr Škoda, company ID 19791704. You can reach me at petr.skoda@eniware.eu or on +420 607 510 819.
What data I process and why
- Contact form: name, email, subject and the text of your message. I use it to answer your enquiry and to make a follow-up offer if that is what you want. The legal basis is negotiating a contract at your request, or my legitimate interest in answering an enquiry.
- Article subscription: email address and language. I process them on the basis of your consent until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe with one click in every email.
- Traffic measurement (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity): data on how you use the site. Google Analytics anonymises the IP address. Both services start only after you consent in the cookie banner.
- Protecting forms from spam (Google reCAPTCHA): technical data about your browser and behaviour on the page, which is sent to Google. This is my legitimate interest in protecting the forms from abuse.
- Hosting logs: the IP address and time of a request, which the host keeps for security and to run the site.
Who receives the data
The data is processed by suppliers who run the site for me:
- Vercel: website hosting. It is only technical infrastructure and does not look at the content of messages.
- Microsoft Azure: technical delivery of the contact form message by email. It does not use the message for its own purposes.
- Resend: sending emails to subscribers, meaning the welcome message after signing up and the notice of a new article. The subscriber list is stored in the blog's content system (Ghost).
- Google: reCAPTCHA and, with your consent, Analytics.
- Microsoft: Clarity, with your consent.
Some of them may process data outside the European Union, usually under standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. I do not sell the data and I do not pass it to anyone else for their own purposes.
Cookies and local storage
The site remembers your choice in the cookie banner in your browser's storage (key eniware-cookie-consent). Analytics tools do not load without your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer: it clears the choice and shows the banner again.
How long I keep the data
I keep form messages for the duration of the conversation and any work that follows. After that only as long as legal obligations require (for example accounting records) or as needed to defend legal claims. A subscriber's email is kept until they unsubscribe. Traffic measurement data follows the settings of the tools concerned.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Just write to petr.skoda@eniware.eu.
If you believe I handle your data in breach of the law, you can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).

I may update this text from time to time. The current version is always this page, and the date of the last update is shown at the top.
